Chelsea signing told to ‘give his best’ before joining future club

Chelsea are all set to face Palmeiras in the quarterfinals of the Club World Cup. The London side is coming off a long but dominant performance against Benfica, where the team prevailed with a 4-1 win.

Enzo Maresca is preparing to play against one of his new signings, Estêvão.

The Brazilian international has been involved in all four of Palmeiras’ Club World Cup matches, but he is yet to register a goal contribution.

The Palmeiras manager, Abel Ferreira, has spoken about the talented winger ahead of the quarterfinal showdown and given him a final challenge.

What did Ferreira say to Estêvão ahead of the Chelsea match?

Ferreira spoke to the press before the Palmerias and Chelsea showdown and gave Estêvão his final wish for the youngster.

The manager said, “While he’s with us, he has tasks and commitments to fulfill. After that, he’ll be free to return to Chelsea.

“Until then, he’ll give his best, and there’s no better way to say goodbye than by helping us in this World Cup.”

The teenage sensation signed for Chelsea last year in a deal that could potentially be worth up to €67m, with add-ons related to the youngster’s performance.

Ferreira added, “And I hope he gives his best so that Chelsea can see all his potential and quality. It will be an opportunity for him to show all his talent.”

The 18-year-old has been dubbed “Messinho” and is widely considered the best Brazilian talent since Neymar. Estêvão will have the chance to make an even bigger impression on his new club in the quarterfinal matchup.
