Chiefs vs. Raiders live score, updates, highlights from 2024 NFL Black Friday game
Will the silver and black get back on track on Black Friday?
The Raiders haven’t won a game since September, dropping seven in a row to put Antonio Pierce’s job status in question as the season inches toward a close. Ending that streak against the reigning Super Bowl champions will be a challenge.
The Chiefs are cruising toward an AFC West title at 10-1, even if “cruising” isn’t the best way to describe how they’re winning games. Kansas City has mastered the art of winning close contests, regardless of the opponent. The Chiefs have won by more than a possession only twice this season, and even the Raiders hung with them until the fourth quarter when they met in October.
Winning at Arrowhead Stadium will be a monumental task for Pierce’s squad, but it’s happened before. The Raiders stunned the Chiefs on Christmas last season, a game Kansas City credited with helping wake them up and get them back on track ahead of another Super Bowl run.
With Gardner Minshew (shoulder) out for the season and Aidan O’Connell back under center, the Raiders are hoping they can recapture that same holiday magic and put a severe dent in the Chiefs’ hopes for a first-round bye.
