Conor McGregor wins $1.6 million on Nate Diaz vs Jorge Masvidal bet
Conor McGregor may have missed out on his UFC 303 payday, but he is starting July hot.
The former two-division champion, who withdrew from his scheduled UFC 303 main event bout against Michael Chandler, placed a $500,000 bet on Nate Diaz to defeat Jorge Masvidal in their boxing match on Saturday night.
The $500,000 bet was to win $1,625,000.
McGregor revealed his big wager on social media.

When it was all said and done, Diaz earned a majority decision victory over Masvidal in an action-packed, 10-round bout in Anaheim, California.

At the post-fight press conference, Diaz was told about McGregor’s wager and left the entire press room laughing with a simple response. .

Diaz called out Jake Paul for a rematch and showed interest in a UFC return for a Leon Edwards rematch after earning the hard-fought win.
There is no word on when McGregor will return from his injury, but some speculation has suggested he could return in the fall. Whether that fight is against Chandler remains to be seen.
