Liberty vs. Antelopes tickets: Cheapest prices, seats for 2025 WNBA exhibition game at Oregon

There will be a reunion for several former University of Oregon alums as the New York Liberty compete in an exhibition game on May 12 against the Toyota Antelopes of the Women’s Japan Basketball League.

The game is days before the reigning WNBA Champions start the 2025 regular season against the Las Vegas Aces.

The Liberty’s Sabrina Ionescu and Nyara Sabally will return to their roots for the matchup. Ionescu left Oregon as the all-time NCAA leader in triple-doubles. The three-time All-American led the Ducks to the program’s only Final Four appearance in 2019.

Ionescu was selected first overall in the 2020 WNBA Draft and is a three-time All-Star. She helped bring New York its first title by scoring the game-winning three-pointer in game three of the WNBA Finals series.

“I can’t wait to get back on the court in Eugene with the New York Liberty at Matthew Knight Arena,” Ionescu said. “I’ve got some great things in store throughout the weekend for my teammates: past and present, Oregon Women’s Basketball fans, the Eugene community, and the SI20 Foundation. Sco Ducks Forever!”

Sabally overlapped with Ionescu but didn’t share the court due to various injuries. She got drafted fifth in the 2022 WNBA Draft. The German was instrumental in the Liberty winning game five to secure the team’s first WNBA Championship.

“I am super excited to have this preseason game in Eugene,” Sabally said. “I never thought I was going to be able to play on that court and in front of our amazing Duck fans again. I know Oregon is going to show out and it’s going to be an amazing atmosphere!”

The Antelopes were founded in 1963. Yuko Oga, who previously played for the Phoenix Mercury, coaches the team.
