NASCAR lineup at Daytona: Starting order, pole for Coke Zero Sugar 400 based on qualifying results

The Big One beckons.

NASCAR’s favorite monstrosity plays host to the final race of the regular season calendar, the Coke Zero Sugar 400.

LIVE: NASCAR returns to Daytona as Bubba Wallace, Chase Elliott look to clinch final playoff spot

Chaos finds comfort at Daytona International, swallowing up Cup Series pros with her clammy hands. Even the most skilled of drivers are thrown off by the smell of burnt rubber and smoldering debris, remnants of a race that grinds Transformer-like chariots into sawdust.

Bubba Wallace is clinging to his first playoff appearance, taking advantage of less-than-stellar years from the likes of Chase Elliott and Alex Bowman. He’s a noted superspeedway enthusiast and has finished second at the harrowing colosseum that is Daytona on three separate occasions.

But the stakes are as high as they’ve ever been. And with a field of saboteurs willing to do anything it takes to send him down the phantom realm, he better be wary.
