NCAA hockey tournament bracket 2024: Full schedule, times, TV channels, scores for road to Frozen Four

It may be called the Frozen Four, but the best college hockey teams are about to bring the heat to the ice.

It’s championship season in the NCAA. The top 16 teams in college hockey are headed to four different regions for the start of the 2024 NCAA Tournament, before the last four standing trek to Minnesota for the Frozen Four.

The 2023-24 regular season saw Boston College and Boston University battle for the top spot in the country for a majority of the year. The two powerhouse programs out of the Hockey East conference sport tons of freshman star power. The Terriers boast Macklin Celebrini, the likely No. 1 pick in the 2024 NHL Draft, while the Eagles carry a dangerous first-year trio of 2023 first-round picks — Will Smith, Ryan Leonard and Gabe Perreault.

Meanwhile, Quinnipiac enters the competition as the defending national champs. The Bobcats won the program’s first-ever national title last April when Quinnipiac forward Jacob Quillan scored in the opening seconds of overtime to knock off Minnesota in the 2023 Frozen Four championship.

Here’s what you need to know about the 2024 Men’s Frozen Four tournament, including bracket information and more.

Sixteen teams make the tournament field, with the clubs receiving a No. 1, No. 2, No. 3 or No. 4 seed for the regions.

The No. 1 seed plays the No. 4 seed in the regional semifinals, as well as the No. 2 and No. 3 seeds. The winners of those two matchups play in the regional final for a spot in the Frozen Four.

The four winners of each region meet in the Frozen Four in the national semifinals. The victors of the two semis play for the right to be crowned national champs in the championship game.
