Thirty-two teams, 16 games, one night. Tuesday’s slate of action is a historic one in the NHL.
For the first time league history, all 32 clubs are playing on the same night, as the NHL is bringing fans non-stop action tonight.
The games are staggered 15 minutes apart, with the Maple Leafs vs. Capitals kicking off ESPN’s tripleheader at 6 p.m. ET, and the Flyers vs. Golden Knights set to wrap up the evening with a puck drop at 11 p.m. ET.
This is a normal night for me.

Here is everything you need to know about NHL Frozen Frenzy and how to watch all the action on tonight’s schedule.
What is NHL Frozen Frenzy?
ESPN and the NHL are bringing an NFL RedZone-style show for viewers on Tuesday’s historic evening of games.
John Buccigross and Kevin Weekes are bringing viewers a live, whip-around studio show that is going to be showcasing all of the biggest moments from every game, including goals, hits, power plays and much more.
“You’ve got 16 games, so everybody is playing, and I want this to be an all-you-can-eat buffet of hockey for hockey fans, hockey lovers, hockey people in the business, the casual fan or a new fan,” Weekes said to NHL.com. “Literally a buffet with everything available.”
“I think it’s about waving the pom-poms for our sport for sure and showing the excitement of it,” Buccigross said. “That’s what this is about, a celebration. They can be like, ‘My team, yes, but I’m also going to check on the rest of the league.’ I think we can deliver elements of the sport to celebrate it and show why we love it.”
How to watch NHL Frozen Frenzy
Fans looking to watch the NHL Frozen Frenzy can do so starting at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN+ before the coverage shifts to ESPN2 starting at 8 p.m. ET. The show will still be available to watch on ESPN+ from 8 p.m. on, and fans can also stream the ESPN and ESPN2 coverage on Fubo, which offers a free trial.
The show is scheduled to bring non-stop hockey for 6.5 hours on Tuesday, with a tentative ending set at 1:30 a.m. ET.
Fans in Canada will be able to watch the three games on ESPN, as the broadcast will be simulcast on Sportsnet. However, the Canadian audience will not have access to the Frozen Frenzy show, since ESPN+ is not available in Canada.
NHL schedule today
Tonight marks the first time that all 32 teams are playing on the same evening.
In order to properly celebrate and appreciate the historic night, the league spaced out most of the games by 15 minutes, meaning that none will start at the same time. This is a refreshing change from the norm in the NHL, which has received criticism for scheduling games on the same day at the same exact times.
