Philadelphia Eagles pulling fake ads supporting Kamala Harris

The Philadelphia Eagles said Monday they are aware of counterfeit political ads and were working with an unnamed advertising partner to have them removed.

The ads show someone who looks like Kamala Harris wearing an Eagles helmet and the name “Kamala” across the bottom. There are claims that Harris, the Vice-President and Democratic nominee for President in November, is the “official candidate of the Philadelphia Eagles.”

According to NBC 10 Philadelphia, the ads also link to Philadelphiaeagles.com/vote — which is a real site that the team has set up to help provide nonpartisan information to allow people to know how to register to vote and learn more about upcoming elections. The station said the team began removing them Monday and hoped to have them all down by Tuesday.
