Western Conference enigma Real Salt Lake get set for a possible postseason run as the MLS Cup playoffs draw closer.

RSL has been an extremely tough out all season long, suffering just seven defeats all year, tied for third-fewest in all of Major League Soccer. That has led them to a top four finish in the Western Conference, and a hosting gig in the first round of the playoffs.

If RSL are to make a run in the postseason tournament, they’ll want to get talisman striker Cristian Arango back in form. He bagged 16 goals in their first 17 games but flopped down the stretch, with just one league goal since June 1 and none since July 6.

Real Salt Lake tickets for Round 1 playoff matches are available on StubHub.

While the club does not yet know its opponent, it’s guaranteed to host Game 1 of the matchup, so fans can go ahead and snag their seats now. The get-in price for that first playoff match is currently $40 for seats in the 200 sections. Seats in the corners and end lines are going for around $50, while anything with a touchline view is around $70 or more.

Prices will likely increase once the playoff bracket is set and the matchups are locked in.

Who does Real Salt Lake play in 2024 MLS playoffs?

Real Salt Lake does not yet know its opponent for Round 1 of the MLS playoffs. They cannot finish lower than their current position of fourth, and need to beat Seattle’s result on the final day of the regular season if they are to leap the Sounders into third.

Either way, RSL will have the hosting advantage in the first round, playing their guaranteed home match in game one and set to host game three of the series if necessary. You can find a complete bracket with the latest standings for the postseason here.

Round 1 of the MLS playoffs will begin Friday, Oct. 25 and conclude Sunday, Nov. 10. It will be a best-of-three series, using a 1-1-1 format for hosting rights. RSL would host Game 1 and, if necessary, Game 3.

The 2024 MLS playoffs begin Tuesday, Oct. 22 with the Wild Card match. It all concludes Saturday, Dec. 7 with the MLS Cup championship.
