Red Sox walk-off Mariners 3-2 in 10 innings

On Wednesday night, the Boston Red Sox welcomed the Seattle Mariners to Fenway Park for the series finale and earned a 3-2 win.

Boston’s arms were great in this one with Brayan Bello getting the start. The 25-year-old allowed two runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out seven over 6 1/3 inning.

Lucas Sims followed making his Red Sox debut, tossing 2/3 of an inning, giving up just a walk. Josh Winckowski, Kenley Jansen and Zack Kelly each pitched a scoreless inning.

The Red Sox’s offense was just all right on the night. Masataka Yoshida (0-for-2 with a walk) scored on a wild pitch in the first. Danny Jansen (2-for-4) drove in the game-tying run on a single in the sixth. Rafael Devers (3-for-5) walked it off in the 10th inning with a double off the wall.

This win moves the Red Sox to 57-50 overall and 27-28 at home. Now, Boston will have a day off on Thursday before taking on the Texas Rangers for a series starting Friday.
