Sam LaPorta injury update: Latest news on Lions TE’s status for Week 11
The Detroit Lions have an injury concern with their budding star tight end, as Sam LaPorta suffered an injury in the third quarter of the Week 10 game against the Houston Texans.
LaPorta is coming off an incredible rookie campaign, but he has gotten off to a slow start in the first half of this season. Through eight games, LaPorta had just 22 catches for 300 yards and two touchdowns.
But LaPorta was having a solid game in Week 10 before suffering the injury, with the Iowa product tallying three receptions for 66 yards and a touchdown. The 66 yards are a season-high for him.
Here’s the latest update on LaPorta.

Dan Campbell says Sam LaPorta has a sprain in the AC joint, but it’s not something he’s super worried about.
“He might miss this week” and then they’ll see.

END OF UPDATE
According to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, LaPorta is dealing with a shoulder injury and is questionable to return. Of course, it is too early to know the severity.
Now Lions have a couple injuries. Carlton Davis shaken up (right leg?) on that play. Sam LaPorta questionable with a shoulder injury.
