The offseason of Shohei Ohtani is only beginning.
The two-way star won his second American League MVP award on Thursday night, becoming the seventh player this century with multiple MVPs, but the focus is quickly shifting from his on-the-field stardom to his free agency. Ohtani became a free agent the day after the World Series ended, and as the Winter Meetings approach, all eyes will be on the upcoming decision.
For now, however, fans can get their Ohtani fix with a documentary about the star’s upbringing and baseball career. Produced by ESPN Films, the film figures to provide the closest look yet at both Ohtani’s background and his day-to-day life as a major-leaguer.
