Spurs vs Suns live score, updates, highlights from Victor Wembanyama-Kevin Durant showdown

Two of the most unique players in the NBA will go head-to-head when Victor Wembanyama and Kevin Durant face off for the first time on Tuesday.

Wembanyama’s game has been compared to Durant’s because of the French phenom’s long, slender frame. As a 7-4 forward with the perimeter skills of a wing, there aren’t many other comparisons to draw other than Durant, a near 7-footer who is one of the greatest scorers in NBA history.

Wembanyama has been up-and-down over the first three games of his NBA career, averaging 15.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.0 steals, 1.7 blocks and 1.7 assists per game, though his shooting splits (.447/.231/.667) leave much to be desired.

Durant hasn’t exactly been his usual self either, shooting 47.5 percent from the field and 27.3 percent from 3. However, he is still stuffing the stat sheet with 27.7 points, 8.7 rebounds and 4.0 assists over three games.

The Suns are expected to be without Devin Booker and Bradley Beal once again, so the spotlight will shine on Durant and Wembanyama.

Victor responds to Durant’s dunk at the other end with a poster of his own, taking flight with one foot outside of the paint.

The Suns go into the break with a nine-point lead, led by 10 points on 5-of-7 shooting from Kevin Durant.
