What channel is Braves vs. Phillies on today? Time, TV schedule for 2023 NLDS Game 4
Nearly a year ago to the day, the Phillies stunned the Braves in Philadelphia, eliminating the reigning World Series champions and the NL East winners in just four games. On Thursday, the Phillies have the chance to do so again.
Bryce Harper launched a pair of home runs as part of a Philadelphia barrage in Game 3 to win 10-2 and take a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-five NLDS, with a game still left to be played in the City of Brotherly Love.
The Braves, hoping to stave off elimination at the hands of their NL East rivals for a second straight year, are hoping for two things to happen: their bats to wake up, and the Phillies to quiet down. Atlanta’s juggernaut lineup has been held to a paltry .196/.257/.268 slash line, with only Travis d’Arnaud and Austin Riley having hit home runs. Philadelphia, meanwhile, has blasted the Atlanta pitching to a .263/.368/.545 slash line, with Harper already having three home runs and four other Phillies hitters having at least one as well.

Toward the end of Wednesday night’s win in Philadelphia, fans were chanting, “We want Strider.” Well, they’re going to get him. The Braves will hand the ball to their ace, Spencer Strider, who finished the 2023 season leading the league in strikeouts by 44 over the rest of the field. Strider pitched in Game 1 of the series, and though he allowed only two runs (one earned) in the outing, he was still saddled with the loss.
His counterpart that night was Ranger Suarez, who will match up against him on Thursday. Suarez went only 3.2 innings before giving way to Jeff Hoffman, who wound up picking up the win. Suarez struck out four and allowed just a walk and a hit over his abbreviated start.
The winner of this game will advance to the NLCS, where they will face the Diamondbacks, who swept the Dodgers in three games.
