What time does the NASCAR race start today? TV schedule, channel for 2023 Charlotte Roval race

The NASCAR Cup Series is trimming the fat off its playoff roster. And with an appearance in the vaunted Round of 8 on the line, everyone is putting their pedal to the metal.

There’s one problem, though: that strategy doesn’t really fly at the Roval, the site of the final race in the Round of 12.

Charlotte Motor Speedway’s alternate course is a fickle dance partner. It’s draped in color, with red and cream patterns lining the track’s surface. But it’s hard to maneuver along that peppermint-tinted asphalt; there isn’t much space and with 12 turns, any sudden movement could result in a pileup.

The final road course of the Cup Series calendar figures to present numerous obstacles to those who maraud within its hallowed walls. And for that, we’re grateful.
